Default Steve DeWitt is a scam and hasn't done well trading

I wouldn't necessarily say Steve DeWitt is a scam or hasn't done well trading, but Steve is not being accurate - basically, he is being misleading - when he tells the number of pips he supposedly makes. I know because I use to be a member.

For example: On a buy trade the market might move upwards for a 100 pips or more. Obviously he doesn't know for sure it will do this. But what Steve will do ... as the market is moving up ... is he will sell 1 lot here, 1 lot there – all along the way during his trade. And because he is selling off lots along the way - at MANY different points - the end result is he is not actually getting 100 full pips on the trade, but he in actuality is getting a smaller profit. But what does Steve do? He announces to the world he just made 100 pips! That is misleading, because it gives the impression that he made a actual full 100 pip trade. By the way, the 100 pip example is just an example. Sometimes the market might happen to move 300 pips or more and he will claim a 300 pip (or more) win. But of course his real profit usually is much smaller. Of course, you will never hear Steve point this out (that his actual profit was much smaller).

It is just misleading for Steve Dewitt to tell everyone he is making all the pips when in actuality he is not making anywhere near the amount he claims.

And also, as someone here pointed out, he seems to constantly be changing various aspects (such as system rules, indicators, etc.) of whatever trading system he is using at the time. Also, he regularly changes the time of his chat room.

Steve, stick to one set of rules, use the same indicators, do not continually change your chatroom hours, and be honest with the pips you claim to make - let everyone know you are not actually making 5000 full pips a month!

Default is dewitt run a scam at forex confidential ?

I took the low cost trial. I found the live room to be unruly and distracting. Steve and his assistant moderator were fine, but the members were constantly cracking jokes and hitting the noise buttons, like little kids who just found the electonic key board at the Walmart. Steve seems to know what he is talking about and he sends numerous signals all day long to you. When he does the analysis he moves fast and doesn't seem to answer all the questions from the room, but I can understand why when most of what is being typed is lame jokes and off subject. If you followed all of the signals he sends it seems that the losers are cut early and the winners tend to run long, like you want to see happen. His site is well organized and the archiving is top notch.

They have a new hybrid managed account system they just launched and it has great potential. I am waiting for a few months to check back in as they get the kinks ironed out.

I was not impressed enough with what I saw to continue to pay for their service past the trial. This may be because of the style and vibe I feel comfotable with. I will also not give a rating because I didn't feel I gave them enough time to truly rate the service. However, if they can get the kids in the live room to behave, I might give it another shot. I would recommend anyone take the trial to see if it is for them.

Default steve is a bad forex trader and lost my money!

Steve presents himself very confidently and so confidently that I used his managed trading service,That is when I discovered to my horror that his trading style that he teaches is not replicated on the managed accounts. He lost 75% of my account in less than 6 weeks trading and gave no explanation of how this happened and why his own trading style does not match what he teaches. My advice-run away fast and find a genuine honest and competent trader.

Default

I joined their trade assist system a couple of months ago. My account now has a draw down about 7%. I believe that is normal for trading account. They have improved their trading after the negative month .However,if you have 75% draw down, I suggest you check your risk setting, it suppose to be 1%-2%, not 10% or 20%. That's suicide. I'm not associate with any company. Personally I think that those behind forex confidential are hard working people.
